The password sits in the QR code as plain text, anyone who scans it can read it. Only display the code where you are happy to let people in.
A higher level makes the code denser but keeps it readable when partly covered.
PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF, up to 2 MB. With a logo the error correction level is raised to H and the module size to at least 6, because punching a hole in the middle really does destroy part of the data. You have to pick the file again each time: browsers do not let a page remember your file.
